Here I am!

So this is it now! I can't believe I'm living my dream. Living abroad sounds so absurd to my ears but here I am!

I'm really here and it has been  a week since I arrived to the wonderful city of Ghent. Piece by piece I'm getting the hang of everything. It's funny how the normal things at home, like internet and a good pillow can make you so happy here<3 It still feels more like travelling, not really home. But everyday I wake up and I look around my temporary room, for three weeks still, and everyday it seems more like my own<3 Also the love for Belgian culture and all the great people, I have already met, makes life so much easier in here.

I live in the Student Home Vesalius, in Zwijnaarde, Gent. In other words...middle of knowhere!:)Just joking! It's 20 minutes to the centrum by bus, so as my friends in Finland know, it's like going from Espoo to Helsinki:/ But the good news is that I will get a bike, soon I hope, and then it will all be easier:) However I'm not the only one living here, so I always have company to share the awesome bus rides.

I started the Dutch course last Wednesday and got the hang of it rather quickly! January it's all about Dutch and February I start my school for real;) We have a great Dutch class, teacher is great and the atmosphere is international. People with different nationalities and different stories. Not that I don't like the stories home;D, but it's just, let's say: refreshing! We spend a lot of time together also outside the class, sightseeing, shopping, tasting beers and eating fries, of course:)that's what you do here in Belgium right?:)

We also teach each other about our own countries; so last week we had an awesome Polish vodka party! Na zdrowie!:D So all in all I have been quite busy here:)
